At Ireland’s largest sanctuary for Birds of Prey and Owls, you can enjoy Eagles, Hawks, Owls, Falcons and Vultures flying closely over your head. During the interactive shows, scientists will inform you about these magnificent birds, some of whom can be touched. For the ones who prefer cuddly animals, there is a large pet-zoo in the centre. Eagles Flying is located outside Ballymote near Temple House and Ballinacarrow on the N17.Country Side: Rural
Free parking facilities available for cars and coaches.
Open seven days a week from Good Friday until the 7th of November 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Show starts at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily for approximately one hour.

A stone tunnel entrance, with dolmen and amphitheatre rising out of lush green lawns commences your escape into the Botanical gardens, and natural flora and fauna blend together, enhanced by" faerie habitants" in miniature models villages and "enchanted" glades. Streams and secluded seating areas create a magical atmosphere, whilst a visit to the "faerie fort" offers spectacular panoramic views. Wild-life pond and aquatic cove, plus informal guided tour round the "Pet Village". Quizzes and competitions keep the young amused allowing the adults freedom to relax.

Lissadell House, Gardens and Exhibition Hall are open to the public during the spring, summer and autumn seasons, and all year round for tour groups by appointment. Visitors can enjoy House Tours, Garden Visits, Countess Markievicz Exhibition, Tea Rooms and Heritage Shop. Lissadell is famous as the childhood home of Constance Markievicz, one of the leaders of the 1916 Rising, and the first woman Minister in a modern European democracy. Her brother Josslyn Gore Booth created at Lissadell one of the premier horticultural estates in Europe. Her sister Eva Gore Booth was a poet of distinction and an active suffragist. Sligo born poet William Butler Yeats was friendly with the Gore Booth sisters when he and they were young.Country Side: Coast, Rural
