Hamilton Gallery, 4 Castle Street, Sligo.

Hamilton Gallery is located on the first floor of No. 4 Castle Street, a listed Victorian building in the heart of Sligo.

The gallery hosts monthly exhibitions which are open to the public from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. In addition to our exhibition calendar we present an extensive collection of fine art limited edition print and sculpture by Irish artists.

The Living Ginger

This exhibition is an exploration of Yeats beginnings as an artist in the watercolour medium and it examines themes and techniques which developed throughout his career. The same themes will be examined in greater depth in a major exhibition entitled Jack B Yeats; The Outsider guest curated by Brian O’Doherty which will open on 5 February 2011. The new show, drawn from Yeats work within The Niland Collection is entitled The Living Ginger: The Characters of Jack B. Yeats.  This exhibition will run from 25th July to 17th October.
