I design beautiful handmade wooden items for the home. I only uses ethically sourced Irish wood such as fallen beech, walnut, ash and oak trees to make my collection of handmade salad bowls, salt mills, pepper grinders, commissioned items and sculptural art pieces. I work from my workshop which is based in County Sligo, the West of Ireland surrounded by hills, woods and the wild Atlantic sea. This dramatic landscape plays a major part in my work.
I studied painting at Chelsea College of Art, London. In 2005 I moved to Riverstown Village with my wife Imelda and our children to renovate a former outbuilding into the family home. A workshop soon followed and I began my wood turning journey through a self-taught apprenticeship. In 2009 I started turning full-time and my business has evolved into a family run enterprise.
My art school trained artistic eye brings a unique approach to the craft of wood turning. My handmade wooden giftware and tableware products are both functional whilst at the same time being aesthetically pleasing art pieces in their own right.
My workshop is in the village of Riverstown in County Sligo, Ireland. Visitors are welcome to call Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.00pm and at other times by appointment.
