The Benwiskin Centre Hostel - Hosted By

The Benwiskin Centre, a self-catering hostel and community centre located in Ballintrillick, North County Sligo, is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the dramatic mountains of Benwiskin, Truskmore and Tievebaun. Mullaghmore, a short distance from our doorstep, is one of the ‘Signature Discovery Points’ on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and not to be missed when visiting North Sligo!

The whole area is steeped in history and folklore that can be traced back over thousands of years. Tranquility, pure air, beautiful mountains, sandy beaches, world renowned surf, unique flora and fauna, bog roads, forest walks and cycle routes are in abundance in this superb scenic location.

Our self-catering accommodation is available all year round. We can cater for individuals, couples, families and groups up to 28-30 people in our private ensuite and dorm rooms. Groups can also hire the whole Centre and we have a hall for workshops too!

The Centre is an approved venue suitable for the solemnisation of civil marriages. You can choose to have your ceremony here or just hire the whole Centre to celebrate with your friends and family!! So if looking for something a little different, why not arrange a visit and take a look around.

As a community centre, we offer a range of services and activities throughout the year. Services include:-
